The first edition of the Geneva Motor Show was held in 1905 and it was in 1924 that it gained its international recognition. Since then, the International Motor Show of Geneva has become one of the most famous and popular trade shows in Europe and belongs to the 5 majors recognised by OICA (International Organisation of car manufacturers).

In the 7 halls of Palexpo in Geneva, on nearly 110 ´ 000 m2, some 220 exhibitors including the largest manufacturers, as well as many designers, OEMs and industrial suppliers present about 900 cars.
